A precious drop of blood.
Every year on July 27 the people of Madrid recall the miracle of the liquefaction of the blood of San Pantaleon at the Encarnación Monastery in Madrid.
The festivities celebrate the relics of this martyr who lived in the 4th century BC. Processions illustrate the religious fervour which is still rooted in Spanish society and make for an impressive spectacle.
